In the event of the death of a Travel Plan Member who is more than 100 kilometers away from his or her legal residence at the time of death, the Guaranteed Travel Assurance Plan™ (GTAP) will render every assistance including locating a local, licensed funeral home, arranging for the transportation of the body from the site of death to the licensed funeral home for such licensed funeral home to prepare the body for transport, purchasing the minimally necessary casket or air tray for transport, arranging for the transportation of the remains to a licensed funeral home at the city/province of legal residence of the Member or Enroller’s location, and procuring the consular services (for death overseas) and death certificates.
